hi i'm currently a student wanting to pursue going into a nursing program....i have all the prereqs everything done C+ or better but the school i'm currently in is not allowing me into the program because of my low gpa...i tried taking bs courses to boost it up but not much of a difference only because i have a couple of D's on my transcript from the past and that's my biggest problem that's holding me back....everyone i tlked to like counselors and teachers all told me may be i should look into something else, may be nursing is not for me? i was sooo upset because this is what i truly want to do and i'm not going to deny i made some mistakes and bad choices but also i'm not a genius....but nursing is the only thing i'm soo passionate about wanting to pursue....i took the nln and i guess i didn't score so great because one school i applied to denied me and i'm still waiting on another one but i feel like i'm wasting time.....i just want to get into some nursing program somewhere??? is there anyone out there know of any kind of school technical school anything that i can apply to anywhere...at this point i don't care where it is far or near i'm willing to do anything just to finally get into a nursing program or a school that would take me into their program so i can continue and finish and hopefully become a nurse god willing!!! any suggestions at all please let me know i'm sooo scare for my future right now b/c there is honestly nothing i rather do that nursing....i'm looking into respitory but i really don't want to..... whoever responds to this amillion thankyous for even taking the time to read all that i wrote....

What about repeating some of the D classes at a community college? You didn't say what the classes were so I'm not sure if that's an option.

Have you talked to the actual nursing programs to see what they may suggest?

I would think if you could somehow repeat something or other to boost the GPA, it may take a while longer than you want, but I should think that's doable in the long run for nursing.

I don't know of any tech school that would bridge into a nursing program, only taking college classes is all that I know of.

Good luck to you....if there's a will there's a way! ;)
