Nclex Retake with Valid Eligibility

Published

Good Day! I would like to retake the NCLEX for the second time here in California. The first time I took the test was on Feb. 3, 2018. My 45th day provision will end on Mar. 20, 2018. Based on the letter I recieved last year August, I was eligible to take the test and this will expires after a year. I would like to know now if I need to undergo the rest of the reapplication process or I can go straight to Pearson Vue to register and pay for NCLEX?

Any thoughts on this? Thank you.

If you did PVT trick and they already took your $200 you are good there. As for the state you will need to log into Breeze and submit a retake application under your file# application and pay $150 for them to process the retake application. Pay as soon as you can, and be sure to check the BVPNT website for processing times. If you paid Pearson already you will get an email from Pearson before you receive another ATT letter in the mail once the state approves your retake application. It does not ask for school transcripts, but if you have any criminal records or DUI's ect that you submitted with initial appplication, you will have to attach it in Breeze as a PDF . You should be good to go in 1-3 months to test again.

As long as you test before the ATT expires you are good, the next ATT should have a new expiration date of testing deadline.

Hi. I just spoke to them this morning and said that my very first eligibility letter is only good for 1 exam so yup I have to reapply for $150 to get a new eligibility and $200 for ATT via Pearson and should be able to retake within a year in Cali. Goodthing about this are my livescan and my documents from my school are still valid and ok with them since it hasn't been 2yrs when I apply for the first time.

Thanks for your time
