NCLEX retake procedures anyone?

took the exam in HK last july 5 and found out i failed after 2 days, ouch!!! i had 265 questions and took it for 5 hours. according to ncsbn retake policy, retakes are possible after 45 days. can i send in applications and registrations now then just schedule the exam 45 days after my 1st attempt?

This is my second time taking the exam again here. When I got the letter confirming my results the first time I got the application to pay and register again for another test. I mailed it out with a money order. After that I had to wait for my permission packet to take the test again. There was a code I needed from that packet then I could pay again and after that scheduale. I did this online, but you can do this of course by phone or by mail. I found it easier to do all on line. But you must wait for your permission to test again before you get anything going again.

I found out I failed the NCLEX 3 days ago. Are you saying that I have to wait until I receive the permission package in the mail along with the official result before I can set up the next test date (in 45 days)?

Yes, you have to register again and when you do fill out the application mail in your application right away(that is if you want to take it ASAP) and the money order. At the most it will take 4 weeks to get the permission to test packet. Could be sooner-you never know. Then pay and scheduale. Yeah, I know it seems like forever to have to wait. Then having to wait for results is even more worse. I am taking my test again Next Monday. Its finally here! I'm getting geared up for it.
