Hello guys,
I was wondering what the nurse:patient ratio is. I was also wondering if the job description of a nurse is same in the Navy as the civilian world. Is the Navy more or less stressful than civilian nursing? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

It is actually better in some cases. When I looked into it I found they were more accomadating to new grads...plus in some areas the pay is actually higher because you are an "Officer". :)
If my husband wasn't already in it and we didn't have three kids, I would do it in a heartbeat!

Me and the Mrs. are both active duty nurses and we have 3 kids, it's doable. I second QT's comments on staffing , although it can be challenging from time to time as people rotate in and out, causes temporary fluctuations in the staff mix.
