Hi, I am applying for National Univerisity BSN program but I have a C in 2 courses and I scored a 64% on the online TEAS test...I am scared that I will not make it to the next cohort. Does anybody know what is the average TEAS test score to get in? What is the average overall points (estimate) to get in the 50 slots?

Hi Priscila,
I am almost in the exact same boat as you- I scored a 70% on the TEAS and I'm applying for the April 2011 cohort. I also have a C in A/P I (both the course and the lab). I have A's and B's in my other core classes. Version 5 of the TEAS exam was TOUGH. I was totally thrown for a loop with the Life and Earth Science sections. I'm terrible at math and surprisingly aced most of those sections. I think my essay is OK; not amazing, but decent.
I've been reading on these threads that the average cut off falls somewhere between 80 and 85. I think this really depends on the TEAS version and the average scores for each cohort. I want to say we are up against 200 other applicants? I'm not sure....do you know?
Anyway, best of luck to you! I was told to order the ATI study guide for the version 5 TEAS test (I had some other TEAS study guide but it was nothing like the test) and study off of that. Even a 5-10% increase in your next TEAS score could make or break whether or not you get accepted. Either way I'll have my fingers crossed for you (and me, lol!) :)
