u have tried August boy, am studying to take it for the 3rd time too in this month, pray this will be the end....to add to what u've got there
HAVE THIZ IN MIND FOR NCLEX..
Do think before you answer the question
Do focus on patient, not on the nurse
Do choose an answer that acknowledge the client shows open ended
communication and encourages discussion and expression of feelings
Do pay attention to qualifying words in question stem such as first,
most, initial, highest priority, better and best.
Do look for proper sequence in actions and nursing process ADPIE.
Also, always keep in mind what question is asking you, e.g
Which option is the pt's most immediate need?... think most immediate, now remember to use Maslow hierarchy, which is physiological need first, ABC
But
if the Question says, which option should be the nurse first action/ INTERVENTION?.... then think about using five step of nursing process which is ADPIE...

Hey all, I am taking NCLEX the 3rd time. Last time I took it it was in 2005 so its been a while. Needless to say I had to start over. I am taking it on December 16th. I would like to share some tips that I have been using. For the ones who have passed the exam please tell me anything I should be doing differently or more, and for the ones who are in the same boat with me, let me know if you like these. I once review everything on my own and also took Kaplan in class. I am also going to take an ATI online review starting tomorrow. My scores in readiness test of Kaplan were 63% and ATI diagnostic scores were 66%. Here is what I am doint to answer the partice Kaplan and ATI quesitions:
Hope this help you and me.
