My "ewwww" story from yesterday

Ewwwww......

Lady had a food bolus stuck in her lower esophagus. Had to have an EGD to have it removed. EWWWWWWWW. just thinking about it. oh, and seeing the egd pictures, too. ewwwwwwww....

I'm in the process of being diagnosed with poor motility of my esophagus. The tech who did my barium swallow says that's what he saw, but I haven't been back to my doctor yet to hear the official report.

I'm not looking for medical advice, just curious to learn a little about the procedure the lady had. What's an EGD?

Hopefully, I'll never have to have one -- but I can find very little on this problem online.

its endoscopy. Go down your throat to take a look at esophagus/stomach/duodenum.
