My grandaughter was born by C/S last week due to breech presentation. Not only is her head all flat on top and sticking out funny in the back, but her right jaw and the right side of her face is misshapen due to her position in the womb.
My daughter is worried about how crooked it is and I can't remember... how long does it take for the baby's head to "shape-up"?
Is there anything we can/should do to help it along?

Congratulations on your new granddaughter!
Did the pediatrician examine her shortly after her birth? Didn't he or she provide any info on the shape of her head?
If not, I would make an appointment and ask her pediatrician about it.
Thank you for your response Wanna Be... the Neonatologist just said she had a breech head and it would straighten up. They have an appt at the peditrician's office next week, so hopefully, they will get good advice.
I just wondered if anybody was familiar with about how long before they need to worry! Hey, what am I saying they're first time parents, they worry about everything...
Thanks again.

Congratulations!
My baby was born with a perfectly round head that flattened out nicely from all the back sleeping!
The pediatrician sent us for some mild physical therapy (his case is not bad), but also said that the head shape can change up to two years of age. The process of brain growth help to "move" things into place.
I would suggest (as the previous poster did) that you talk with the pediatrician (repeatedly, if necessary to feel confident that everything possible is being done).
Good luck to the new family.
