MSW, MPH, or Rn?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone, I am set to graduate with my BSW in one week and am already thinking about what to do next as far as my education/career. I am not going back to school for at least a year because I want to work in the field, and I am also unsure of what path I should pursue. I have heard some things that make me wary/hesitant to get the MSW. Although I really enjoyed my field experience for social work, from what I hear it is not a profession you can stay in for the rest of your life. So, I am considering either going to grad school for Public Health, or becoming an RN.

The only issue with public health is that I am not especially interested in policy/bureaucratic work, but the degree seems pretty flexible.

The issue with becoming an RN is the only program in my area that would fit into my schedule is one that does not sound like a great program and may or may not have lost its accreditation recently.

Any advice would be great! :)
