Specializes in Nursing Professional Development.

The whole idea of a Master's Degree (after a BSN) is to get a more in-depth education on your area of interest. The BSN should provide you with a good foundation in all areas and Continuing Education courses can provide you with additional knowledge if you don't need a higher academic credential.

MSN's designed for people who are already nurses assume you already have a broad foundation as a generalist and are seeking a higher academic credential so that you can get more in-depth information on an area of special interest to you and/or become a leader of some type in your chosen area of practice.

If I were you, I would delay grad school until you have a sense of a career direction -- so that you don't invest a lot of time, energy and money that won't be of use to you once you decide on a long-term career direction. Explore other types of professional development (e.g. Continuing education, certification, etc.) to further educate yourself on specific topics of interest or to explore a few fields that you might be interested in focusing on down the road. That might satisfy your desire to keep learning and growing without investing so much money on academic classes that you might have to repeat should you ever decide on a specific role or field that will require you to get a specific type of MSN.

Or ... maybe you would like an MSN with a focus that is fairly general, such as "leadership." A CNL role might also be OK for you as it is a fairly general role that crosses different clinical specialties.
