I am currently a BSN student, with 2 years to go. I know that I want to go into a BSN-to-DNP program and become a nurse practitioner. I also know that I want to work in some sort of public health agency as a primary care provider.
I have always played around with the idea of getting some sort of degree in public health, and after seeing some dual degree MPH-MSN programs on the east coast, thought about the possibility of pursuing an MPH while gaining some experience working as an RN.
My question, however, is if this would actually benefit me. Would it help advance my career in the long run? Or would it be a waste of money? I'd love to have some feedback on this!
