Moving to a new state for nursing program.

Published

Hello everyone,

I am having a hard time figuring out my situation. I am currently in GA, and I was accepted into a nursing program in Louisiana in August of last year(2019). At that time, I had financial support from my ex when I move to Lafayette, Louisiana this summer but that is no longer available. Now I am stuck with this acceptance but I can't afford to live there on my own ( I need to make $2000 a month to pay all my bills and have a little extra for emergencies). I don't mind working my butt off while in school. I'm use to working 70 to 80 hours a week. Since I don't know anyone there and where to even get a job that will pay enough for me to live, I am confused and lost. I have enough to get there and pay my bills for 1 month, but I will have to start working as soon as I get there.

Do anyone know of any places for a job that pay well and affordable apartments?

There are schools in Ga of course but I don't want to have to start the process over( I have been working to get into a school for almost 6 years and family/finacial issues always come up) and I hear that the TEAS are extremely difficult. Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.
