Moving to Monterey Park area

U.S.A. California

Hi, I got a job at Garfield medical center and I was wondering what cities are by Monterey Park, CA and which cities and areas are considered more on the safer side. Thank you in advance.

Hello I actually go to school in Monterey park and live by there> I would say some safe areas are San Gabriel, Alhambra, Arcadia, Pasadena. I just also had a quick question for you. Since you work at Garfield Hospital I am guessing as a nurse is the pay there good? Do they ask for lots of experience? Thanks!

I think it's about average pay for Los Angeles. $31 not including differentials. Also, I am a new grad with a little experience. I know units are hiring new grads.

I am sorry I am not familiar with units? What do you means by differentials? Like night shift and extra experience in a certain area? Thanks hope I helped you with the previous post!

Yes you get extra pay depending on whether you work evening or nights. You also get a little extra if you work on weekends if your hospital is with the union usually.
