Mott Community College's wait list/point system

I've been taking my pre reqs very slowly for years now, while my youngest approached elementary school age. Next year I'll be done and it will be time to apply for the program. How does the point system work? If you've had all A's, what more can you do to get the highest up the list?

I've been going so slowly for so long that I want to give myself my best shot at getting in as quick as I can. And when did they implement this point based system vs the wait list? I understand everyone who was on the wait list was grandfathered in. I don't know if I'll be waiting 6 months or 6 years.
