Morristown?

Hi, I just made an emergency relocation to the Morristown area. Going through a divorce and had a house fire where I lost everything so it was time to get out. Anyway, just trying to get on my feet now and hoping for input on the job market. I have around 1 1/2 years exp on cardiac units and half a year in a Psychiatric hospital as a LPN. My license is from a compact state, and I'm a male nurse. Thanks

    Try looking online for jobs. The local paper is citizentribune.com and it has an online job search. The nursing homes are life care center of Morristown and heritage center, they are both owned by life care centers of America. We have a couple assisted living facilities, the grand court but, it's called something different now that I can't recall and emeritus. There's a lot of home health agencies- interim and maxim are the first 2 that comes to mind. There are a couple of group home, lakeway center is probably the largest. If you have psych experience Cherokee health systems is usually hiring, the other large physicians practice is called Healthstar. The hospitals are Morristown Hamblen (owned by covenant) and Lakeway. The hospitals don't hire LPNs as much as they used to but, I still see openings occasionally. Lakeway used to hire more likely to hire an LPN than Morristown hamblen but, Idk now. Good luck.
