7 months in, got a new job offer. I don't know what to do!

I currently work in a small community hospital on an med-surg floor and have been there for seven months. The environment on my floor is not the best, and we are floated constantly floated all the time, the new nurses on the floor are given the worst assignments. The nurses who have been there for years pick and choose which patients they want amongst other nonsense going on that has given me a negative outlook. I have been searching for new jobs and a recruiter sent me a message about this job opportunity and I decided to interview and they loved me and offered me the job. The job is case management, and I would be on the phone and answer emails all day, it is M-F 9 to 5, salary pay. The pay is great, benefits not so much. I would also have to move closer to the job which is in a big city. I made the mistake of accepting the job without really sitting and thinking about it; now I am not sure if this is the right choice. I don't know if I should let an opportunity like this pass up. I know that the hospital job is not the best, but everyone is telling me to stay there for a year, and I am almost there.

My dilemma is that although bedside nursing is not the best, I don't think that this new job will fulfill that nursing passion. I spoke to the recruiter, and she wants me to take the time to think about it. She feels that I am passing up such a great opportunity that hundreds of nurses would love to have. She mentioned that there are a lot of nurses trying to land a case management job and I have the opportunity to do so now and that if I pass this up, it will be harder to get into case management later. I also don't know if she is trying to convince me because she gets some compensation for it or she is being genuine.

It really depends on how much you love/hate your current job, and what your career goals are. Are you interested in Case Management? I am a bit biased against the bedside, but if you are enjoying bedside care (outside of management problems), I would hold out to get your year experience, and then apply to whatever positions you like, unless you are specifically wanting to transition into case management.
