All the courses MC require for the program are fine because I have completed all of the mandatory courses and took their priority courses except anatomy 2.
My problem is that my reading score on the TEAS V test is lower than they require which is lower than 70% but a little higher than 60%. My percentile rank national is 82 and program is 83. Overall total adjusted individual score is about 77%.
Did anyone got into the program with low reading score, but with every other courses and science/grammar scores fine? (GPA of 3.8)

Hi there.
To be accepted into MC, you have to have a 66% or above adjusted total individual score. And the reading portion has to be 70% or higher. There are no exceptions. That is what we were told in a nursing information session.
My one friend who has English as her second language scored below a 70% on her reading and called MC and asked them about it and they told her that there were no exceptions and that she would not be accepted. That is why she ultimately decided to go to UMD at Shady Grove because they aren't as strict with that portion of the TEAS scores. But then UMD is BSN and not RN, so you have to have more pre-reqs done to apply there.
does umd at shady grove tuition fee differs from main campus ?

Home | University of Maryland School of Nursing That is the website for the nursing program at Shady Grove. As to the tuition, I have no idea about that. Sorry.
