just curious if anyone here is attending MCC in rochester ny? Or has? For the RN program. I would like to know a little more about the prerequisites. I don't live in that area yet and I'm just curious. I don't have previous classes or anything. Still have to take the accuplacer test for placement in English and math. So trying to get an idea of how long this is really going to take. Want to get it done fast as I can by taking one or two classes over the summers also. Any advice about prerequisites would be really helpful. I'm really worried about failing them or not being accepted into the program.

I am in the 3rd semester now. It is a great program! The prerequisites are ENG 101, BIO 142, BIO 143, BIO 202, PSY 101, PSY 212, and a Math class (104) or higher. Based on your grade for each prerequisite, the nursing department gives you "quality points". The 70ish students with the highest quality points are accepted each semester. You also receive points for being a Veteran and if you already have a Bachelor's Degree. Good luck. It is a lot of work, but it will be worth it!
ENG 101 - College Composition
BIO 142 - Human Anatomy
BIO 143 - Human Physiology
BIO 202 - Microbiology
PSY 101 - Intro to Psych
PSY 212 - Developmental Psych - Lifespan
Awesome thanks! I'm going this Monday to register for summer classes! Good luck to you!!
