We deal with a lot of sensitive issues on this board, including the above. Does this mean that nurses are also at risk by discussing other topics?

I would not worry about anyone even in a state of paranoia monitoring THIS bulletin board for "subversive activity" - all we have to do if we ever suspect it is start another thread like "things that make you go Ewwwww" or "I was grossed out" or one of our many "feminine hygiene" threads.
I can guarantee that any government employee - even a big hulking CIA agent will turn green an flee the room 2 posts into one of those threads:roll
OK-so I went and reviewed the thread...My facility has had a scabies problem-verified by skin scrapings and biopsy....We did a great deal of research-consulted the "best" derm and the best I and D in this area---the info offered on this other thread is contradictory of every thing we learned...From the state dept of health, from the Center for Disease control and the American college of dermatology.....The final post really rings bells......just does not make sense.....It would lead us to beliee that the authorites are monitoring the posts here at allnurses? Physicians, ocial workers andLAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS? Calls from "Investigators" threatening? Threatening what? To investigate the facilities we are employed in? Just how will they get that info? "Nurses in the US" Where is this mod from ? I don't think there is any reason to be concerned.....this is just crazy......LTC's in the US have dealt with scabies outbreaks for years-never have I heard anything about sexual abuse...I have seen numerous employees with rashes on their forearms and abdomens that scraped POSITIVE for the scabies mite.....nuts....

If there was any investigation going on, I would know about it and I can tell you there is no such thing. To be honest I don't have a clue where that statement came from??
I'll have to ask Sharon to explain what she meant.
Meanwhile, carry on :)
