Money for Nursing School

I'm a nursing student in serious need of money for school. This is my second degree and I just finished my first set of nursing courses. I was accepted into a nursing program for second degree transfer students. I did my first clinical rotation and loved it. The problem is I go to an expensive private school in Long Island New York, and my loans don't cover my tuition. Unfortunately my credit is not that great so I don't qualify for private loans. My grades are great, but I can't find schlorships. Does anyone have any advise?

It is so frustrating. This country needs nurses, and there is no money for people who want to go to school. They rather get nurses from other countries, then educate able bodied individuals right here in America. Its madness!
