Molloy vs Stony Brook Nursing Program

Published

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me what college has the better nursing program, molloy or stony brook? I've read many things about both schools and both have there pros and cons. For instance, stony brook is much cheaper then molloy but molloy graduates have a higher salary. I just got into the molloy nursing program. I could not apply to stony brook because I need to retake anatomy. Should I say no to molloy and wait another semester and apply to Stony brook, or is molloy worth the money?

Hi,

I applied to both schools so I'm curious about what people have to say as well. I didn't hear back from either program yet, but I'm leaning toward Stony Brook. From the limited experience I've had dealing with both schools, I think Stony Brook is more organized. Good luck with whatever you choose.

You too! May I ask why you are leaning towards stony brook?

Honestly I just get a better feeling about Stony Brook. They are much more organized and helpful, even with the application process. The staff seemed very professional and informative when I went there for my interview.

Molloy was a mess and they were not helpful in the application process or with anything else. I applied online and they didn't receive my application. After submitting it three times online I finally had to go in person and fill out a paper application. After that, they lost one of my transcripts. They told me they received it and then when I called to follow up about my other transcripts they said they didn't have it. I had to send another copy to them. The whole thing just gave me a bad feeling, but Molloy has an excellent reputation so maybe this is just the admissions process.

Thank you for replying! Good luck with everything:)

No problem! Good luck to you too! I hope to hear what others have to say!

How long did it take Molloy to accept you into their nursing program after they received all of your documents?
