I have two misdemeanors (cannabis

both Charges has been dropped or to the fact that I completed pre-trial diversion so I have not been convicted

My question is I'm in the process of taking my LPN boards and I can only expunge one charge in my lifetime which one do I expunge ?

i know this post is a month old but i thought i'd comment anyway. FBI background checks still have access to expunged records. i've looked into this quite extensively. i have a misdemeanor for disorderly intoxication on my 21st bday. from what i've learned, expunging your records does not exclude the incident from an FBI background check... regardless of the level of check. i personally am not going to waste the money expunging something that will still be seen. if you're going to try, i would probably go with the battery charge. that is the worst out of the two. maybe try consulting a lawyer. attorneys are required to put in a certain amount of pro bono hours. call around to the offices in your area and see if any still need to fulfill their hours before the year is up.
