Hi everyone!
I wanted to start a line of communication for all of those who are on or off Miracosta’s LVN to RN Bridge program waiting list. My hope is to provide an area, so we can ask questions and find the answers together. A little bit about myself, I was placed on the list early January of this year.
I know the waiting list is now closed but I wanted to ask for those who are fortunate to be accepted, how long was your waiting time?
Does anyone know how long the latest waiting time is for all of us who are still on the list?
I hope this post will help shed some light to all who are in the same situation. Good luck! Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Hi there
I currently just got in and finished my Summer bridge portion. I got on the list on December 2018! Seems they are bumping people a tad earlier as my original date was supposed to be Summer of 2023. It has been amazing thus far and the instructors are great! I can tell this is one of the better programs around and well worth the wait I endured! The Summer session was no joke and study was at least 8-10 hours a day but worth the hard work! When did you apply @Teine684? I was quoted a 5 year year wait in 2018 and it was about a 4.5. I know I heard it’s now a 10 year plus wait though but they should have given you a year and semester?
Hi 619nurse,
Thank you so much for sharing your journey to becoming a Registered Nurse. You will make a wonderful RN?.
I submitted my application in January of this year, but I wasn’t aware that I can inquire about my approximate waiting time to get into the program. I appreciate you sharing this information with me, especially how rigorous the Summer portion of the bridge program is. Reading your response gave me hope that my waiting time will be well worth it! Thank you again and I wish you nothing but the best! You got this!?
Can I ask how many LVNs were admitted into your cohort, 619nurse? I’m in the mid 60s on the waiting list.
I also applied to Palomar’s Bridge Program not to long ago and was notified that they were not accepting any LVNs in the Fall.
They accepted 24 for the Summer and you have to pass with a average 76 or higher on all exam during the 6 weeks to advance. Then not all of us start this fall about 8 of us start next Spring and those who passed from the other half are this August. So I believe about 5 failed. My original start date wasn’t til Summer 2023 so I definitely moved up since they are bringing in more Lvn every Summer now. Please message me if you want more details.
