I am a student at Spring Arbor University in the FNP program. I live in Northern Minnesota. I have researched, contacted, emailed, and walked in to clinics. I have found that finding a preceptor is very difficult in Minnesota. I am curious if others have found finding a preceptor this difficult. The main organizations are only accepting students from the University or private colleges with nursing programs. I am now looking for my Ob/Gyn rotation and Peds starting the end of July. Are there any small town clinics left out there? I never thought going back to school to be able to help fill the gaps in patient care would be this difficult. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am in Twin Cities, Minnesota and I have trouble finding preceptors too. You should try Entira Family Clinics.

Hi JLopac, I start at Spring Arbor 1/25. How has your time gone with them? Were you able to find preceptors OK?
