Resumes and the like

Specializes in OB (with a history of cardiac).

So I'll be graduating from St. Paul Tech in May (knock on wood) and I really would like to work in a clinic...especially urgent care since I may or may not be going back for my BSN right away. I was wondering, in light of this health care career fair that I am going to tomorrow, when is a good time to get those resumes out, and what should be on there? Should I put that I worked as a phlebotomist for 2 years and in child care for another 8 years as lead teacher? Should I put my erratic list of schools (we jumped around a bit). I don't want it to look like I cannot stick to something.

I'm getting very frusterated with SPTC. Some of you who went to school there pre 2003- yeah they totally revamped the program apparently. It's really frusterating! Not hard frusterating, but more like why are we going to nursing homes for clinical one and two- and how is a day care center that's 2 hours away any kind of peeds clinical? No externships, no choices, and one teacher mentioned that we'd just be shadowing the aides and doing their work. I see many clinics want expereince in that line of work- a clinical rotation at a clinic would be really good...but it appears we won't be doing that. It's very one track minded. I may just be being a B*** about it and having a bad attitude but I've already done the nursing home thing...I'm not cut out for it, and if that's the only option with SPTC then I'm in trouble. (Oh and I'm not the only one who is feeling this way)
