Minneapolis School of Anesthesia

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

I am looking for graduates of current students of the Minneapolis School of Anesthesia. I was hoping someone could give me his or her opinion of the program. I'm trying to decide which school is the best fit for me. I really would like to live in Minneapolis, but I want a strong academic program too. If anyone has an opinion one-way or the other I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Hello.

I saw that your posting was from Feb, but hopefully I can still give you some good information. I am currently a senior at Minneapolis School of Anesthesia and I have to say its the best decision I've made. The school is absolutely fabulous, and has a VERY excellent program. They have 100% board passing rate for the past 9 years (and I believe 4 years ago, everyone got perfect scores). You go to 5 out of the 8 hospitals associated with the program which gives you a really well rounded clinical experience. You also do a peds, same-day surgery, and rural/regional experience. The teachers are fantastic (our main instructor won a very prestegious AANA award for instructor of the year). The AANA president from 2005-2006 is also an instructor. I know people in many other programs and don't think any compare. It is demanding and intense but the school wants you to suceed!!

I would recommend it to ANYONE!!!!

Hello,

I see that your a senior if not alreay graduated from MSA. I have an interview on Dec. 4th and I was wondering if you could give me some information. I work with several MSA grads and they too believe it is a wonderful program.

Thanks, Danielle
