What are your GPA and TEAS scores for the fall 2018 BSN or ASN program at MGA? Also, were all of your classes completed when you applied or do you still have a few more to take? Does anyone know how the nursing school GPA is calculated and can you view it in SWORDS?

BSN

GPA: 3.54

TEAS: 71.3

This spring, I completed statistics and microbiology. During the summer, I am taking A&P I and A&P II. I was told I probably won't get in since my main sciences are not completed.

I applied and was accepted with a TEAS of 74 and a 4.0 GPA, I am currently completing Micro and A&P II this summer. As long as you are core complete by the start of the program it is fine with a good enough GPA and TEAS. I am curious how you were able to take Micro before A&P I since a C in that is Pre Req to Micro and II?

Thank you for responding! Congrats on getting in! Did your acceptance letter state if the BSN program is in Macon or Warner Robins?

I found out this week that the department chair had to fill in for an instructor to take the nursing students to Ireland, so they will make final selections when she returns. Hopefully by June 15th, the second round of letters should go out is what I was told.

I took Microbiology at Gordon this past spring and I am taking A&P 1 & 2 this summer, in four week increments. I got a waiver from the biology department at Gordon to let me in the Microbiology class. According to the nursing department at Gordon, it is their rule you must take A&P 1 before you can take Microbiology but that is not a rule for the biology department. I also have two other bachelors degrees and did well in my previous biology classes, so that helped because they did look at my prior transcripts.

The BSN for Fall is on Macon Campus. Hopefully they get the second letters sent out soon because there is a ton of stuff that must be completed prior to orientation on July 11th! Good luck!! I've taken everything at MGA, it was easier that way, even though I live an hour away lol

I have a GPA of 3.8 and I just took the TEAS and got a 74.7. Should I retake the teas before applying?
