Anyone applied for the BSN/ASN program for Fall 2015? I see a lot of older posts but nothing for this year. Does anyone know when letter will go out? I hate waiting!

I applied to Middle Georgia State College BSN/ASN program for Fall 2015. I received a letter today but it was confusing. The first line stated, "Congratulations on your recent acceptance to Middle Georgia State College and your interest in the Nursing (ASN) indicated." In the paragraph below it asked me to contact advising to schedule my Fall 2015 classes.... So I don't know if that means I'm accepted or what???
That does sound confusing. Have you recently applied to the college? Are you currently taking classes? If you aren't taking classes now I think it is just a general "welcome to Middle Georgia" acceptance letter and not an acceptance into the nursing program.

Brome94 congratulations!!! I got my acceptance letter today also for BSN at the macon campus. Which campus are you attending? and have you heard if the program is really hard?
Congratulations tbsams304! I got accepted to the macon campus as well. Also I heard from a friend who is in the program right now it difficult but not extremely hard just mainly depends on which teachers you have
Thanks! That's good to hear because I'm very nervous. I hope we get the good teachers.

I don't mean to discourage anyone, and I'm happy that you were accepted, just an FYI this program is quite challenging. It is mainly because majority of the BSN instructors have left and still are so some of the instructors are being told weeks before the classes start that they are teaching a class. We do have some really great teachers that really want you succeed, but just to stay on top, read, read, read...do not take what they tell you at face value. They may lecture over something and put something completely different on the exams. Best of luck to you.

I just received my letter this past Saturday for the BSN program, unfortunately it was a no. However, I contacted the school today and was told ASN letters are sent out separately and I would be receiving one in the next few weeks and they have not come to a decision yet. There is still hope for us guys.
Thanks for the heads up! Thats scary, I will make sure I do a lot of reading. I'm also going to take physical assessment and clinical calculations to lighten my load for the fall, so I really hope this help me.
