MICU nurse wondering what is next

Hi!

I have been in a trauma 3 MICU for the past two years (my new grad contract is coming to an end). I have enjoyed the ICU as my first job as an RN. I will say that I haven't had the sickest of the sick, but I have had some pretty challenging pts. 
 

I am stumped. I don't know if I should move to another ICU, and how I would move to another higher level ICU safely (I.e., ask for a long preceptorship). Which ICU should I specialize in? 
 

Also, I would love to see how the ED works as an RN. I have EMT/ED tech experience (2-3yrs) before nursing, so I know that would behoove me if I transferred. 
 

 

Any advice/prompts would be appreciated!

I wonder where you end up working.  

I'm an LPN who just completed the RN program. Anyway, I'm interested in MICU and ED.
