Am I going crazy? I just clicked on the metro nursing website and the accelerated program now states it is "17 months," starts in January, and is completed in 4 semesters?!? Have they changed their whole program within the last couple weeks or something?
I got accepted to start next month and am wondering if its still going to be 13 months. Sorta confused.
Anyone know what's going on? Thanks

The last time I checked their website it was a still 13 months program. Looks like it's not only Arapahoe making a change but also Metro!

I went to the open house a week or two ago and they are changing to a January start date in 2010 and it will be 17 months. They are aligning the program with the standard Metro semester schedule, so it will be 4 semesters - Spring, Summer, Fall and then Spring again.
As far as I know, this year's program is still 13 months.
At least Metro are telling the prospective students about their changes for January 2010 semester. Whereas with Arapahoe, when they made changes with the requirements and stuff it was during the later part of the fall semester '08!
Thanks for the Metro info!!!

I was taking classes at Arapahoe at the time and I got an e-mail about the nursing changes, although I can't remember the timing of it. Since I wasn't planning on going to their nursing program (I want to do an accelerated BSN and eventually become an NP) I didn't pay that much attention to it. I thought they had it set so that if you had the necessary prereqs done or in progress, you still had time to get on the wait list before they closed it. But I don't think they gave you time to do another semester if you needed more time to finish the prereqs. I could be totally wrong because I didn't pay much attention to it, as I said.
