Merritt 2014 small class size

Hi, I'm starting Merritt college's nursing program on August 18th, 2014 and was hoping someone might have some information on the change of class size. Until this semester it seems like they were taking on a larger classload than they were prepared for and then weeding students out during the first 9 weeks. I heard a rumor that they've lost a grant which is causing them to not accept as many students as they did in the past. I'm wondering if anyone has any clarifying information about this.

I'm moving from Chico, CA to start this program, so please, if you had a bad experience at Merrit feel free to share, but don't try to terrify me into not starting the program.

Also if you have anything positive to say about Merritt I would absolutely adore that!
