MEPN 2015

Thought I would get this started...

Who is applying for UCSF MEPN Program currently?

I also haven't received an email.

I received the email saying my app was complete and under review. not sure if its good or not

I'm thinking - and this is only because I'm totally insane - that if it were me who hadn't received an email, I would follow up. It seems that some of us have (me, missliliposh, others I imagine), and some of us haven't received anything. In case there's a problem (e.g. something missing) I would certainly want to know as soon as possible.

@Missliliposh I certainly hope it's a good thing!

Just emailed to follow up and they got back to me in less than a minute (I'm impressed):

"According to my records, you have everything you need. Those emails are sent automatically, so I don’t know why you haven’t received them."

I'm not super worried.

I think I'll do what izalou did on Monday and send them an email. I haven't received anything still, but have noticed there have been changes under the "Status" tab.

Several weeks back, the wonderful admissions rep verified with me over email that my supporting documents were in fact all received, despite my online app status not reflecting this.

Today, however, I finally received the automatic UCSF email saying that my application was complete and is under review by the admissions staff. And my status tab has green checks all over it (yay!).

Another 7-8 more weeks until we hear something about interviews. Hope you're all hanging in there!

Good to know! I'm still doing other apps... sigh

And I have to fill out FAFSA :( School feels like a ripoff

Hey! I'm a current MEPN. Just wanted to say good luck to all of you guys! I know it can be a long wait before you hear anything from the school, hang in there! And just a little heads up - interview offers are mailed in very thin envelopes that will have you sure you've been rejected. Make sure you read everything they send you!

I also received an email last week, and on the website, it now says "Application Complete." The waiting game is not fun.

Hi there Rhubie,

Any words of wisdom for interviews? What specialization are you doing, and how do you like it so far?

Best

Hi everyone,

I'm meeting with a current MEPN tomorrow - I fully plan on picking her brain as to the interview process, what questions to expect, how to best prepare, yadda, yadda, yadda. A lot of this information is on older threads, but it's always nice to hear it first-hand. I am fully aware that I may not be invited to interview, but it feels good to do something productive while kicking the tires and waiting to hear some (hopefully good) news!

Hi all, I'm new here. I haven't received any such email confirming that my application is under review, but my application page says that everything is complete with green little check marks next to everything. Considering that everyone here has received an email (whether it was one or three weeks ago), should I be concerned? I emailed the administrator before the deadline, and he said that all of my required materials were in. Thanks in advance! :)
