:wink2: We are attempting to increase the success rates of our ESL students and one thing that we are considering instituting is a mentorship program that will pair up newer students with those farther along in the program. Research (Salamonson et.al, 2008) suggests that ESL students who score highest on the ELAS (English Language Acculturation Scale) also score higher in their mean tests scores. Therefore, we have been looking at various options for increasing the interaction for those students at risk. Is any one else doing this; or do you already have a mentorship program in place..if so do you find it effective?
Tahnsk for your input!
