Hi,
I am a Metal Health nurse with over 5 years experiences. I qualified with an advanced diploma in mental health nursing.
I am just wondering what peoples experiences of NNAs are and if I would be considered qualified to be a RPN in Canada?
Any advice would be most welcome,
Sinead

Hi, I'm a mental health nurse in Canada and I had my training in Nigeria. I moved here in 2012. Since then, a lot have changed in terms of requirements for application including submitting your transcripts to NNAS. There are four provinces in Canada that are favourable to internationally trained MHN. They are BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The rest of the provinces require you to be RN first. But I'm confident that you'd qualify as long as you meet the hours and your educational institution is accredited.
Good luck.
