Hi all! I am meeting with a nurse recruiter for a local hospital on Thursday. I already work for the hospital but off-site and in a non-nursing position (I will be graduating in May)
I am not sure exactly what to bring. I'll be coming right from work, so I am not sure if I should come in my scrubs or change into something more dressy. I am of the mind to treat this as an interview. I've already sent her a copy of my resume. Do you think I should bring references too? I don't have my official copies of my grades, do you think I should print them off from the school website and bring them?
This recruiter spoke to my clinical group on our first clinical day and told us that she encourages nursing students to meet with her to define what areas of nursing they would like to go in as well as to look into a future in nursing at this hospital. I am trying to be proactive and beat the jump as the real recruitment starts in January. Plus, I want to look into some of the flex programs the hospital offers and maybe try to secure a position in perinatal which surprisingly is becoming quite an interest. I am trying to secure myself a position ahead of the game.
Any advice is welcomed. Thanks!
