Hi, I have been a nurse for 3 1/2 yrs. Recently I found out a good friend had a negative experience with Meditech's eMAR. She dispensed 2 lortab, scanned 2 lortab and eMAR said she only administered 1. I wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience, or was aware that Meditech had this issue? I can't find anyone else at my hospital that had made this same mistake. And I can't find any information on this issue online any where. Thankfully, she caught the error. But we haven't found out if any one else had that same issue with the eMAR.
Thanks for your input.

Hi!
I know this thread is a little old but my facility uses Meditech (hate it with a passion) I have worked with other computerized programs and this by far is the worst. But to answer your question. I have had similar things happen. and what you have to do is edit or adjust the dose on the buttons at the bottom. Sometimes when i scanned it would mess up like you stated especially if it was a prn with a range. You must be very vigilant with the program especially with a program like this and make sure it is correct before saving.
