In 2015 I completed a medical billing and coding course from which I am thankful I gained a lot of knowledge. But unfortunately found that medical field path boring and hard to enter without 2-3 yrs experience. Just a couple of months after completing the course we moved from PA to TX. Life intervened and my dream of entering the medical field was put on the back burner. Last year when researching entry level routes to the medical field I found CNA. I was more drawn to the medical terminology and anatomy when studying for medical coding. I find myself taking quizlets on the topics just to pass the time sometimes. Some of my family in the medical field steer me away from CNA telling me not to do it. Am I crazy to walk away from medical coding to CNA? The workload is different. The pay is different. The environment is different.
Any feedback appreciated :)

CNA is not going to meet any of your love of terminology, anatomy etc., CNA is basic patient care, you don't need and never use a medical vocabulary, or anatomy.
Coding, transcription, nursing etc. seem like they meet this desire better.
Thanks for your quick response. But CNA will get me into a hospital to further confirm which way i want to go....right? Hands on patient care or no i'd prefer behind the scenes. I guess I want to do the busy hands on patient care but i'm afraid too because i'm in introvert (hence why i did the medical coding course). I guess I'm looking for someone to tell me I'm not crazy for going backwards. :)
