Hello,
Does anybody know a good medical bookstore in the Boston area/ Boston? Barnes&Nobles is great but I would like a larger variety of medical books. I like to see the books before I buy therefor I do not like amazon & co.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hi Nutella
We have several bookstores that are both affiliated with national chains and with medical schools.
Try the Harvard Coop (http://harvardmedical.bkstore.com/)
Barnes and Noble at Boston University (http://bu-med.bkstore.com/)
or Tufts University Bookstore (http://tufts.bkstore.com/default.asp?m=0101)
Good Luck!

I remember the days where Brown and Connolly was on Boylston St. right near the Longwood medical area. They were very knowledgeable and had a huge selection. They ONLY sold medical books and some equipment on top of that. Like a lot of other stand-alone bookstores in recent years, they were probably unable to compete with the online giants. Are there specific texts or reference manuals that you would like to purchase? If so, go to the Harvard Coop on Longwood Ave to see if they have what you want. If they have the books you're looking for, then go online to see if you can purchase the same thing for a cheaper price.
