And have you worked every question in each subject area in both of those books? Did you use the review section as well? I've never studied only 10 hours in any week of nursing school, and I have about 14 NCLEX question books that I use. Have you used the CDs that came with the books, or the website for Hogan (there's another 30 questions there if you haven't found it)? Do you really review your class notes? Have you read all the appropriate chapters? I don't have any comprehensive websites, sorry...I don't really know what you'd find online that would be a better study aid than NCLEX question books. If you have done all of the above, maybe you should get a few more - perhaps one with more questions and less review, like Saunders Q&A or Mosby's Review Questions - I got about 600 questions between those two CDs for my last exam, which only covered cardiac. What exactly are you having trouble with?

wow that is alot of information they are cramming in in med/surg. so here is what i did to pass nursing school: nclex books they are your best friend get maybe 3 of them saunders is a good comprehensive one, it goes through the important information you need to know about different diseases and disorders. do not wait til last minute to start studying, start right after class on that material covered and go through it. if you do not understand anything go to your teachers, at my school they will go out of their way to make sure we understand something.. well the good teachers anyway, i feel as though if you have a good relationship with your teachers and you actually come to them and show that you actually want to learn and understand this material they will have no problem helping you and may even give you some clues on what to study for the exam ;). get a study group going, i would recommend no more than 3 people, but only do this with people who are going to actually help and benefit you. i like study groups because everyone understand things differently and when you study they give you their hints on how to memorize and understand certain concepts that you might not be grasping as well as you should. last thing dont give up, no matter how hard nursing school is because its hard keep your focus on the end goal, becoming a nurse...it's supposed to be hard! if it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. the hard... is what makes it great! keep up the good work it will all pay off in the end!!! ;)

this is just the greatest quote - i loved that movie!!!! :yeah:

anyway, don't sell the first baby - you will love it too much. just get a saunders and mosby cards and read those questions. i think you also need to spend more time studying. ten hours sounds like a lot, but in nursing school, it's not. (well, for most.)
