somewhat regrettably, i found this thread from an anesthesiologist/intern forum. i'm not surprised by their position at all, but their vehemence and disdain is shocking. it seems they are all about preserving a dysfunctional hierarchy and all for the sake of money or power. and they are going to be my colleagues. although, i don't suppose they would ever see me that way--rather as an underling or interloper.
i'm not sure what to think, but it does serve as a reminder to maintain membership in the aana.
