Looking for some advice. After applying to the Accelerated BSN program on the Boston campus, I was told that I didn't get into the program, and instead was accepted to the Health Sciences (BS) program.
(After a mini meltdown, and a call to admissions)
I was told that I was accepted into a year 2 spot in the BSHS program, and that there is an internal transfer option with guaranteed admission into their ABSN program in Worcester/Manchester (so long as I meet the 3.0 GPA requirement and c+ in all classes). I would study in Boston for 2 years, followed by completing the nursing program on Worcester for 16 months. Essentially, I would be able to graduate in 3.5 years with a BS in Health Sciences and a BSN.
Has anyone here done this before? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
I'm concerned with starting off in a program that is not necessarily what I want. My end goal is a BSN, and if this is what is takes to achieve it, then I am willing. I truly have no interest in having the second degree in HS.
However, I am considering waiting until the next round of applications opens up to apply for the Fall 2017 ABSN at the Boston campus.
A little about myself- I (clearly) want my BSN, and have been completing general prerequisite courses at a local community college for the past two years. I am an adult student, so time is of the essence in earning my degree.
Of course this is all incredibly last minute!
Just found out about my acceptance yesterday, and orientation/my deposit are due in Wednesday. I truly don't have much time to think things over.
