Greetings everyone,
So I applied to two nursing programs for Fall 2017 start; one being my current school, UMass Boston (traditional), and MCPHS Manchester (ABSN). Last year I had applied to UMass Boston and Salem State for their nursing programs. I was denied admission outright by Salem and UMass didn't accept me into their nursing program but accepted me as a Biology major. That sucked, because I was transferring in with a 3.9 GPA from my previous school (which included courses AP 1&2, microbio, psych, etc.) and scored advanced on the TEAS.
So anyway, just heard on Wednesday that UMass accepted me as an inter-college transfer into their program (YAY!), and I finally heard from MCPHS Manchester on Thursday and they would like an interview from me. I wanted a little more info on the ABSN program at Manchester and some updated information about the interview process. I pulled a 4.0 at UMass this past fall and winter semesters, so I'm not exactly sure why MCPHS would like an interview, quite frankly I was surprised. However, I think this year is the first time they're accepting students without a prior degree but have all prereqs completed, which applies to me, I'm currently taking chem II and others to finish up.
Is there anyone who is also supposed to interview or has? And for current students at MCPHS, how do you like it?? The majority of the posts are about Worcester lol. Any insight would be appreciated, thank you!
Whoops, totally put this in the wrong category. I'll repost in the correct forum area.
