Hi! I was reading through your thread, and I also got into both programs for CVICU, did you end up choosing either of them or did you choose UCLA? I'm having a tough time picking between the 2, because they are both amazing hospitals, and I know they are both #1 and #2 in the world, so I know either one I choose, I'd be okay because they have solid residency programs.
If you end up choosing between the two, could you explain as to how you came down to your determination? I need all the help hahaha!

I went with Mayo! One main reason for going with Mayo was because one of my professors knew people who worked at Mayo, and she told me that they all had great experiences there. A reason why I didn't go with Cleveland was because the pay was lower than all of the other hospitals I got an offer for, and I am not a fan of Ohio LOL. If you shoot me a DM, I'm down to explain more or answer any other questions.

Hi, I just got offers from Mayo Clinic for their MICU/SICU and from Cleveland Clinic for one of their CVICUs. Obviously, both are amazing hospitals, and I'm super stoked to get offers from them. Does anyone know what the cultures at Mayo and Cleveland are like? Are nurses valued, or are they just another number? Thanks!
