Your best bet would be to find someone with an interest and expertise in your particular nursing specialty. A good quality prospective preceptor will not want to just "answer a few questions and sign off on the paperwork." Such a person will want to be sure that you are doing quality work before they attach their name (and reputation) to your project.
Are there people in your geographic area who specialize in your desired specialty who can either be your preceptor -- or help you find one?
I will be starting my masters thesis soon, but I need a nurse with there Masters degree to be a preceptor for me. I am stuck on a topic and just need someone to do a few phone three way calls with me and someone that I can seek advice from. You need to have avalid masters nursing license and I will have to send a copy of it to the school for verication.
I'm sure you're just tired from lots of studying, but I had to do a grammar edit, especially since you're a Master's candidate..."I need a nurse with THEIR Master's degree" :) just in case you're writing request letters to potential preceptors...thought this would help
