I am about to apply for the nursing boards inMassachusetts. 12 years ago I had 2 misdemeanor marijuana charges without convictions. These charges did not prevent me from bring admitted to an RN program or participating in clinical settings.
The main issue is while in school I was charged with criminal harassment pending case of pretrial probation. Basically that means that I never plead guilty to he charges and the case will be closed soon with no conviction. This course of the case was short of outright dismissal due to not pressuring the chief of police to embarrass the police department by just asking to have charges dropped. Regardless, does this prevent my from applying for board exams? I have spoken to my lawyer however my lawyer does not specialize in this matter.
Does anyone have any insight?
