Hello, I am going for the adn nursing program fall 2025, I'm going to take my TEAS exam next week and I have all the vaccines down. Just waiting for some bloodwork that castle wants from me from taking one of the vaccines. How about you guys? Also does anyone know the potential schedules they offer? And how many students they will offer seats for the program? Thanks!

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience applying to the Malcolm X College AAS Nursing Program and offer some insight to those going through the process.

I originally applied for the Spring semester with a 4.0 GPA, all my medical documentation completed on time, and a very high TEAS score, but I wasn't accepted. After reviewing what might have held me back, I believe it was the timing of my TEAS exam—I took it on the last possible date, and I've learned that priority is often given to students who complete everything earlier. Even with me having everything on castle branch completed and the prerequisites completed, I think my late testing held me back. 

Now, I'm reapplying for the Fall semester with everything done ahead of time, and my application status shows "Visible Candidate" for the AAS program. I'm hoping for a better outcome this time around.
