Making the right decision

Published

My situation is that I'm considering moving to Georgia to be with my fiancé. When we meet we both were in school and we didn't have issues. I want to stay at my current school to finish up my prereqs before applying to nursing school since that is my current path. Right now she is a junior at Georgia State so she doesn't want to transfer schools being so close to the end. Since I'll probably be moving out of state I have to consider the price of going to school. Average tuition is over 13000 per semester for out of state and unless I find some type of scholarship I may be paying out of pocket. I have considered sitting out a semester or even applying at a community college for that year then transfer to a university. I don't want to put off this endeavor any longer it has taken me a long time to get to this place. I have a lot to consider and I hope that the decisions made will be the right ones.

In the long run waiting an extra semester it two to save thousands and thousands if dollars will be worth it. Get your CNA in the mean time and find a job for some experience and make take some classes at the community college

I may have too sit out a year putting off nursing school for a year isn't ideal. I'll be finished with all my prereqs next semester. I have looked into getting my CNA license but have been hearing that a lot of pre nursing CNA's have been getting burned due to false claims and bad experiences. I’m currently a licensed EMT but going to a state that doesn’t recognize my licensure sucks so I'm just not sure.
