making drug flashcards out of Davis drug book

I need your help guys!

I have downloaded a CD which goes with Davis drug guide to my computer. Basically, it is the same drug book, but in electronic form. Now I am trying to make drug flashcards, trying to select-cut-paste pieces of text from this electronic drug book. But here is my problem: text in the drug book, both in paper and in electronic form, is written in two columns per page. And you read one column first, then switch to the second. When I try to select a piece of text about the drug (given in a column), I can not select just one column!!!!! It selects two columns simultaneously!!!! And when I copy and paste it it is pasted as a mixture of the text from both column.

Is there any way to select-copy-paste just one column???? It would make the whole process much faster! I would appreciate any help

You will not be able to do it unless you download adobe or some other PDF program. The Davis and many of the CD's are in PDF format. You can download a 90 free trial of adobe...I always retained more by retyping what I was writing though, then you have to read it at least once and put the drug actions into terms you can understand. Good Luck

Hmmmm ....

I have Adobe on my computer. And I am not able to do it.

Well I have vista and office 2007, so if you dont the steps might be slightly different. If you have the full version of adobe acrobat (not just the adobe reader) this should work, it did for me. I have to get going to class but I will be more than happy to help if you need it. I get home around 2pm today EST and can do it myself to get the exact steps then post them for you. If you want me to, just let me know. :D

TessaMe,

I just got home after my clinicals:)))

I have Office 2007 on my computer, I do have Adobe as well. I need to check if it is a reader version or full with my husband when he gets home. He is a computer guy, he knows. Even if now it is just a reader he will download a full version of adobe if I need it. Anyway, yes, could you post exact steps for me? Thanks in advance!
