With unseasonably warm weather over the weekend continuing today, I am anticipating many visitors to my "Macys" for dress code violations. Unfortunately pickings are slim this time of year. Not looking forward to the eyeball roll when I offer one of my middle school girls the bright turquoise sweat pants in my clothing line

LOL! I get the look of disdain and I tell the little girls "this isn't Justice."

Shorts are not allowed per our handbook until April 15th. Since we had a very unusual 65 degree day on the 13th - guess who had to find pants for all the little darlings who wore shorts????
My "Macy's" is open all year round, so I'm kind of glad when warmer weather gets here - not coats/hats/gloves to loan out, plus my supply of plain athletic shorts is good :)

i like to get my hands of a few justin beiber t shirts for tank top strap violations (can't have spaghetti straps). Apparently One Direction works well too these days

Its best when they refuse everything you have, and you call mommy about her lil darlings outfit choice and mom says..I picked out that entire outfit and I find nothing wrong with it, then Mom complains and brings clothes and mom is wearing the same outfit but a slightly larger size...hmm

Even worse, when the outfit mom is wearing is SMALLER (than it should be)!!!
I have 7th and 8th graders who often go through seemingly overnight growth spurts. Sometimes students (and parents) just do not realize that the shorts that fit fine last summer are just too short and tight now that little Susie has hips. That being said there is no excuse for tank tops which are never permitted.
Heading to Goodwill after work today !!!

I am SO going to use this line with my little girls! My secretaries ask them, "Do you want to wear this? No, do you want this? No, how about this?" I don't do that nonsense. I hand them a change of clothes and point them to the bathroom. You fell in the mud/puddle/soiled yourself, you get what I give you.

To make sure they get the shirts back a my high school. They use a nice fat sharpie and write "Principal's Office" on the back of the t shirts that they give the kids to wear when there is a violation. Obviously, they don't like to resort to the "Principal's" shirt.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of this. It seems to be more of a way to try to embarrass a student than to get them to respect the rules. I'm not saying it's not effective, but it's not my favorite form of discipline.
