The Massachusetts Student Nurses Association (MaSNA) will be holding our annual convention at MGH on October 30th. Unfortunatley, due to space concerns, we have no choice but to cut off registration at 250 students, a number we are nearing. You can sign up at www.mastudentnurses.org

It's going to be a pretty cool event. For starters, Barbara Blakeney, President of the American Nurses Associatioin (ANA), is our keynote speaker. And by the way, she is a MA native. Many people are coming to just to hear her speak.

In addition, just about every major hosptial in the State is sending recruiters (bring your resume'), a whole bunch of professional assoication will have boths, we will be having a panel disscussion with nursing leaders from many different areas of nursing, there will be break out sessions (including one of Advance Practice Nursing),and an NCLEX mini-review. Several tours of MGH will be offered throughout the day.

Also, thanks for MGH - all parking for the convention is FREE the whole day for anyone attending the convention.

In addition, if you are interested in a leadership program, many postions within MaSNA will be up for election this winter (including president and vp). You can come and met the current group of leaders, all Ma nursing students (including me) and we can fill you in on the details. And, of course, you can pick up the scope on Nationals being held in Daytona Beach FL this year!!!

So, again, we feel really bad that we have to limit the number of students, but please sign up online (it's only $15) to save your spot ASAP.

I hope to see you there and feel free to contact me (all the contact info is on our site www.mastudentnurses.org) with any questions and good luck with your semester!
